Terms
Terms of use.
Temporary text
These terms are a plain-language summary the site owner has approved for Phase 1 launch. They are not formal legal advice and have not been reviewed by counsel. Counsel-drafted final terms will replace this page in a future update. The commission work itself is governed by a separate written agreement between the shop and the customer, not by the text on this page.
Plain-language terms governing the use of this website. Commission terms for a specific rod are set in a separate written agreement between the shop and the customer.
What this site is
This site exists so that anglers interested in a custom saltwater rod can learn what the shop does and start a conversation. It is not a store. Nothing on this site is an offer to sell a specific rod at a specific price, and submitting the consult form does not create a contract to build one.
Using the website
You are welcome to read, browse, and share links to this site for non-commercial purposes. The site's text, photographs, and design are copyright JM Premium Tackle unless a different credit appears alongside the content.
Please do not: scrape the site with automated tools, submit the consult form on behalf of someone who has not asked you to, submit knowingly false information, or use the inquiry channel to send unsolicited commercial messages. The shop reserves the right to ignore or block submissions that appear to be spam or bad-faith traffic.
How a commission actually works
If you submit the consult form and the shop engages, the next steps — scope, components, price, deposit, timeline, warranty, delivery, and any other commitment either side makes — are agreed in writing between you and the shop as a separate per-commission agreement. The details of that agreement take precedence over anything implied by the site's marketing text.
Because every rod is built to a specific spec, a commission is a bespoke arrangement, not a catalog order. Pricing, shipping, refunds, and warranty are addressed in the per-commission agreement, not here.
What this site does not promise
The shop tries to keep the site accurate, but information on it is provided as-is. Process descriptions, component lists, timing references, and similar content describe the shop's general approach; they do not guarantee any particular outcome for a particular build. If something on the site looks wrong or out of date, please write to the shop and point it out.
The site is not a substitute for professional advice — legal, fisheries, or otherwise. If you need that kind of advice, please consult a qualified professional.
Changes to these terms
These terms are temporary text pending a counsel review. When counsel delivers the final version, it will replace this page and supersede the text above. The shop may also update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in how the site operates. The version posted at the time of your inquiry governs that inquiry; significant changes will be flagged on the site rather than applied silently.
